Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe and part of Les 3 Vallées, six hundred kilometres of linked slopes, which means a long season and customers from all over Europe.
When Christine Goitschel and Jean Béranger settled here year-round, there were no homes and no shops. Christine persuaded minister Joseph Fontanet to create the resort's primary school, so that seasonal workers could raise their families here. Six children started there in the first year, including her own daughters.
It is the same thinking that has led us to train our staff in-house since 1973, as a commitment on both sides.
